About Nurse Alexis

I became a nurse in 2017 after a ten year career in Human Resources. I love what I do! I began my nursing career in a very busy emergency room and have also worked in radiology, outpatient surgery, and most recently at a concierge medical practice. I am from and continue to live in beautiful Fairview, North Carolina, where I help care for my hilarious and young-at-heart grandmother. In whatever spare time I can find, I enjoy baking and kayaking. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

About Our Piercings

Stud Muffins uses the Blomdahl System, a medical ear piercing system that has been internationally recognized for meeting quality standards for safety and medical devices. This system is only available to licensed doctors and registered nurses. The piercing studs come prepackaged in sterile, disposable, single-use cassettes. Anything that comes into direct contact with your skin is disposed of after every piercing, eliminating the risk of transmitting bloodborne pathogens. This technology is commonly used in all invasive surgical procedures, and is now being applied to ear piercing.

Blomdahl is registered with the FDA and their earrings are produced in Sweden using the same international standards for implants and other medical devices, and certified by medical device quality control. The piercing studs are made from either implant grade titanium or medical plastic and are specially designed to facilitate healing. Please see our FAQ for more information on the earrings.
